September was busy with ELL screening, but now that the screening is done, how do you utilize the WIDA Framework to provide ELL services to your students?
The WIDA Starter Pack is a great place to begin. It includes both WIDA ELD Standards books, and an Essential Actions Handbook that provide numerous examples to assist in student goal-setting and lesson planning. Can Do Descriptors Booklets help all teachers understand what types of activities students at each level “can do” to access grade-level content. The pack also includes a WIDA Standards Poster and WIDA Bag.
WIDA offers a variety of online resources in the Download Library as well.
